1. Terms of Service

1.1 Intellectual Property
All original content provided by the Live Namibia SLM (source code, design, and base model architecture) is the property of the project developers. All dictionary and phrase contributions submitted by users become the property of the Live Namibia SLM project and are irrevocably licensed under an open-source license for public, non-commercial use aimed at linguistic preservation.
1.2 User Conduct and Contributions
By contributing translations, you certify that the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not violate any third-party copyrights. We reserve the right to review, modify, or reject any contribution deemed inaccurate, inappropriate, or harmful without notification.
1.3 Enforcement and Right to Termination
The Live Namibia SLM project reserves the absolute right to delete, suspend, or reject any user account, contribution, or profile immediately and without prior notification if the user is found to be in violation of these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, or the rights of other users. This action will be taken at the sole discretion of the project administrators.
2. Privacy Policy
2.1 Data Collection
We collect minimal personal data necessary for account management and contribution tracking: name, surname, gender (optional), and email address. Your email is used solely for login, profile management, and project communication.
2.2 Usage and Contribution Data
We record the following anonymous data to improve the service:
- Translation queries (sentences entered for translation).
- IP address and browser type (standard web logs).
- Total number of dictionary contributions linked to your user ID.
2.3 Data Security
User passwords are only stored in a hashed format and are never stored in plain text. We do not share your personal identification information (Name, Email, Gender) with third parties.
